Post 6 Symbolism in the Triangle
I have a triangle tattoo on my arm. It's symbolic to me as my parents had 3 kids, so we went and got matching sibling tattoos. According to literarydevices.net, "Symbolism can take different forms. Generally, it is an object representing another, to give an entirely different meaning that is much deeper and more significant." (1) The triangle having 3 sides and the symbolism in the U.S. Government has its meaning represent power and balance between the three branches of government. That is similarly how my siblings and I are supposed to represent our family lineage in the future minus the corruption and discrimination.
I love the idea of matching tattoos since they're permanent. I also have matching tattoos, but its with my aunt. We have a matching quote on our shoulder and then I have the sun on my side and she has the moon on her leg. Its always a nice reminder that the connection is always there.

ReplyDeleteThe idea of the tattoo being a symbol for multiple things is incredible, especially how precise and easy it is to explain. We tend to think of our symbols as materialistic items, but this was a really good mix up from that.
