Post 3: The student

THE EARLY LIFE

There once was a young boy.

The only boy of his kin.

He was pampered and spoiled with his toy.

He studied all morning and played till he win.

THE SOCIAL BUTTERFLY

He would do this until he could not maintain.

Once he grew older he stopped studying.

The grades, the fame, and the enraged parents he attained.

For the boy he lacked a balance between the two and their meaning.

THE REKINDLING

It led to his falling connection with his parents.

Until he attained letter of admissions to MGSU.

The parents opened up that gave him clearance.

The boy then would become the student that grew.

Explanation: I wrote about myself from an objective point of view on being a student. I wanted to do a sequential order in a poem just to spice up my style. The sequences were based on some minor things that led up to how I became a student and where I could have possibly improved. I was mostly inspired though because "The Hitman" by T.C. Boyle was written and a very fond manner to follow along.

  1. I like the way your story was written and how you added your own twist to it

  2. Hey Brian, your take on this assignment was interesting. I enjoyed that you wrote it with a rhyme scheme and were still able to follow a chronological plot. This is a very creative post.
